Lost at Sea

If you're thinking about the comics by Bryan Lee O'Malley, you're wrong.
I was lost at sea.

It's a pretty big story and I won't be able to say it all today.
But I'm making this post to show you some of the things that went through my mind.

First, you have to know my situation by the time: no money, had lost my baggage a couple of days later and had been robbed (yeah that's pretty bad). Location: a small island near Thailand.

I had to go back to Bangkok so I could get my documents done and leave the country. So I hired a guy to take me to the coast. I was going to pay him $5. But it was night, and it was pretty bad to see. After 10 minutes, the guy says the wind was different so he didn't know where we were.
I got angry at first but then I tried to calm down. We stayed in the ship for 18 hours.
What went through my mind in there:
  • I'm going to be arrested. (I don't know why).
  • He is going to rape/murder/kidnapp me.
  • He is going to sell me.
  • He is escaping the country and bringing me with him.
  • We are running out of oil and the ship would stop.
  • The ship will sink.
In the end, we reached the coast, but a little bit far from where we were supposed to arrive. There were police officers and fortunately they helped me with everything. That's why I still love Thailand. All the times I was there I have been to many things.

What about you? Have you ever been in a situation like this?

PS: So happy, reaching 100 followers (:. Will make a special post to celebrate my 100 followers (if I get).

  30. The closest I've ever been is lost in a forest. I mean, it might sound silly but you can SERIOUSLY get lost in one. It was a forest that was like a 10 mile radius and I was stuck right in the middle. My only guide was that the more dead the trees looked, the further in I was. It was just like a video game I swear.

  31. I got some pretty crazy tales about Laos myself, like being held at gunpoint by communists, fleeing across the Mekong to Thailand.

  32. I got lost in Sweden. It might not be too scary, you say. Let me start by saying that Sweden is as big as Mexico and the total population is a third of that of the capital, Mexico D.C.
Add snow, freezing temperatures, endless pine forests and my complete lack of orientation.

Found a village after roaming around for 14 hours. I had walked 80 miles.

also, congrats on the 100 followers!
